BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The first Chick-fil-A in Bangor will open Thursday at 6:30 a.m., creating almost 100 new jobs, CP Communications Cindy Chapman said.
90 people showed up at Chick-fil-A Bangor to participate in a Grand Opening Service Road Trip that will mean free Chick-fil-A for a year for the first 100 eligible adults who complete the trip.
Registration began at 6 a.m. Wednesday and will continue through 8:45 a.m. or until 100 participants arrive, whichever comes first. The community promotion is open to people living in specific zip codes surrounding the restaurant. Please see the restaurant’s Facebook page for details at Chick-fil-A Bangor.
At 9 a.m., the first 100 will board charter buses to begin their 6-hour Road Trip around greater Bangor, participating in fun activities as well as service projects — including packing 10,000 meals for the homeless — before returning to the restaurant about 3 p.m. At the time, each of the First 100 guests can by joined by two guests each for a block party in the parking lot that will culminate with the awarding of free Chick-fil-A for a year to the First 100 about 4:45 a.m. They will then enjoy Chick-fil-A for dinner before departing.
