Casco Public Library broken into over weekend

CASCO, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Cumberland County Sheriff's Deputy Jay Ward says the Casco Public Library was broken into sometime over the weekend.

Employees left Friday night at 9 p.m. and when they arrived on Sunday morning around 9 a.m., they found a rear window had been broken and petty cash was missing.

Deputy Ward says the burglary does not fit any pattern or resemble any recent incident.

The Sheriff's Department is asking anyone with information to call 800-266-1444 or 774-1444.
