BIDDEFORD, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - He captured hearts worldwide with his spunk, energy, and zest for life.
Seven-year-old Brock Chadwick of Biddeford wouldn't let his brain cancer run his life.
He had a simple wish: for Halloween cards to celebrate his favorite holiday and favorite month - which his family affectionately called 'Brocktober.'
Nine months into his courageous battle, Brock passed away around 5 a.m. on Sunday, November 26. His mom, Brittney Horton, says he was "surrounded by love every step of the way."
NEWS CENTER reporters had the pleasure of getting to know Brock over the recent months.
We attended his glow bowling birthday party when his classmates surprised his family with a $10,000 check.
We watched as the Biddeford Fire Department helped Brock decorate his home for his favorite time of year.
Everyone who met the happy, energetic seven-year-old was better for it.
Our deepest condolences go out to Brock's family.
