6 dead after school bus, MTA bus collide in Baltimore

BALTIMORE (AP) -

Police say six people are dead after a school bus and a commuter bus crashed in southwest Baltimore.

BALTIMORE, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Baltimore Police spokesman T.J. Smith said there were also injuries in the crash Tuesday morning.

Video from above the scene shows the front part of a yellow school bus smashed into the side of a Maryland Transit Administration bus.


The driver's side of the MTA bus is ripped off with debris spilling down onto the road.

The crash happened in the 3800 block of Frederick Avenue around 6:30 a.m. 

There was no immediate word on what caused the crash.
