Intro to Capoeira - Adults Beginner Workshop

Capoeira is a seamless combination of martial arts, acrobatics, music and language. In this introductory class, learn basic movements (consisting of kicks and defenses) and capoeira music and history.

Maine Track Club Turkey Trot 5K
9 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 20. Cape Elizabeth Middle School. $25.
This annual race benefits Wayside Food Programs, which means you can feel even better about your efforts. All runners/walkers are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to either packet pickup or on race day.

Portland Thanksgiving Day 4-Miler
9 a.m. Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24. Starts on Congress Street, Portland. $20. 
We all have our Thanksgiving traditions. The Thanksgiving Day 4-Miler through downtown Portland is another of those traditions. Bring non-perishable food to benefit Project FEED.

Thanksgiving Day Yoga
Start the day doing good for yourself and for others with a donation yoga class that benefits a local food pantry.

Derby Skate Club Info Night!
5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29. Happy Wheels Skate Center, Portland. Free. 
There's a roller derby-style skating class in Portland. It's roller skating for fitness and fun. Find out more about it and, yes, lace up some roller skates, perhaps for the first time in decades, during the free info night.
