After Consumption of All That Food, Get Outside, Shannon Bryan Has Ideas

Hi Nate -

Yes, here you are! All turkey, all the time, including a couple events this weekend and the rest happening Thanksgiving Day. Because exercising in the morning means you can eat ALL THE THINGS the rest of the day.*

*Not proven through science, but it sounds nice.

Cranksgiving
10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18. Portland Gear Hub, Portland. $15-20 to buy food. www.facebook.com/events/1827092537582272/
Cranksgiving is a bicycle-based food drive/scavenger hunt through Portland that’s part of a national effort to have fun on bikes and provide for the less fortunate. This ride will start at Portland Gear Hub and you’ll get a shopping list and a list of stores to visit. This is a race to see who can hit all the stores and buy all the food on the list the fastest. There will be prizes for the first people to complete the shopping, most pounds of turkey purchased, and a bunch of other reasons that are TBD.

Back Cove 6-Hour Fun Run & Food Drive
8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov 19. Back Cove, Portland. Bring something for Preble Street Food Pantry. distanceathletics.com
Run a little, run a lot. There will be 6 hours on the clock and a pretty 3.5-mile loop around Back Cove. Eat Holy Donuts, slug coffee from Coffee by Design, and help The Distance Project pack the shelves of the Preble Street Food Pantry for the holidays. Entry fee is a delicious and nutritious food item for Preble St food pantry or anything off of their current “needs” list.

[So many turkey trots. Others happening in Portland, South Portland, Saco, Cumberland, Westbrook, and York.]
