15-year-old killed, 4 others hospitalized after car hits a tree

WINDHAM, Maine (NEWS CENTER) — Police are investigating a serious car accident that killed a 15-year-old and sent four others to the hospital Tuesday night.

Windham Police said a single car crashed into a tree on River Road, Dec. 5, 2017.

Police said Tyonna Adams of Westbrook was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Eighteen-year-old Melinda Easter of Raymond was driving the car.

Easter along with 18-year-old Kerrianna Girardin of Windham, 22-year-old Sasha Williams of Westbrook and 20-year-old Brittany Freeman of Westbrook, were taken to Maine Medical Center.

Williams and Freeman are both in satisfactory condition according to staff at Maine Medical Center. No word yet on Easter and Girardin.
