Fruit recall extends to Trader Joe's, Hannaford and Sam's Club

PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - A fruit recall now includes some stone fruits sold at Trader Joe's, Hannaford and Sam's Club.

The fruit is being recalled over possible listeria contamination.

The grocer is removing certain peaches, nectarines, plums and a plum-apricot hybrid known as plumcots or pluots from its shelves.

They are dated between June 2nd and July 18th. There are no reported cases of illness.

Customers are urged not to eat the produce, and to throw it away or return it for a full refund.

The fruit was packaged by Wawona. That company has issued a nationwide recall.
