YARMOUTH, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A primary health care provider expanded its clinic in Yarmouth to meet a growing demand from patients.

InterMed held a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday at its Yarmouth Health Center.  The center's 10,000-foot addition houses a new ob-gyn practice and expanded family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics and physical therapy practices.

InterMed, which also has clinics in Portland and South Portland, has about 70,000 patients and 70 physicians.  InterMed hopes to add more specialty practices at its Yarmouth clinic in the future, including an allergist and an endocrinologist.
