KENNEBUNK, Maine (NEWS CENTER) — A stray dog found along the side of the road in Shapleigh late last month is now ready for adoption.
The Animal Welfare Society in Kennebunk says Honey, a 9-year-old German Shepherd, underwent some medical treatment over the last couple weeks, notably including the removal of a painful benign cyst, and is now on her way to recovery.
She was brought to the shelter by animal control on Aug. 22 after a man found her along Gore Road earlier that morning. Read more about that story here.
AWS says Honey has been observed to be good with other dogs and older, respectful children. She is available for $99.
