Bangor boy avoids charges related to one (of two) vehicle thefts

Bangor boy not charged for one of stolen vehicle joy rides.

BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A twelve-year-old who allegedly took a school bus for a joyride is off the hook.
A judge dropped the charges against a boy who police say was caught driving a school bus in Bangor and, a month and a half later, was accused of leading officers on a chase in a stolen car.
It's not clear why the charges were set aside.
District Court Judge John Lucy dismissed the charges last week.
