AUGUSTA, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - The Maine Attorney General is accusing a used car dealer of selling vehicles that shouldn't be out on the road.
Janet Mills says her office filed a lawsuit against Glenn Geiser Jr. and his Bangor dealership My Maine Ride in an attempt to shut him down. She says her office has received hundreds of complaints against Geiser.
She accuses him of targeting vulnerable people with poor credit and selling them cars that can't pass inspection.
"Its a violation of our rights to be able to drive down the road safely without unsafe vehicles all over the road. He's selling unsafe vehicles. This puts the entire public at risk", Mills said.
NEWS CENTER approached Geiser at his Bangor dealership, but he declined to comment on the allegations. His license to operate is up for a hearing before the Bureau of Motor Vehicles on Monday.
