(NEWS CENTER) -- The Medicaid expansion proposal has taken center stage at the State House this week. NEWS CENTER political analyst Phil Harriman and Bill Nemitz of The Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram go In The Arena with Pat Callaghan.
Harriman and Nemitz talk about the political prospects for the new proposal on Midicaid expansion. They also address the report by consultant Gary Alexander which found that expanding the program would cost Maine hundreds of millions of dollars over the next decade.
Nemitz and Harriman also discuss the latest state budget shortfall, and a bill to make it easier for communities to withdraw from Regional School Units.
