PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) - The Public Service Company of New Hampshire is sending crews to Maine to help restore power in the state hard hit by this weekend's ice storm.
More than 100,000 people in Maine were still without power Tuesday afternoon after the messy storm rumbled through from Saturday night into Monday.
On Tuesday, 31 PSNH employees set out help in restoration efforts. The team includes line-workers, field supervisors, damage assessors, stock handlers and a safety coordinator.
Utility crews from the neighboring states often pitch in on large scale outages like this one.
