ARUNDEL, Maine (AP) - Police say a Kennebunk woman is facing a drunken driving charge after a two-vehicle crash in Arundel that sent five people to the hospital.
York County sheriff's deputies responded to the crash at about 6 p.m. Monday. The investigation revealed that a car driven by 49-year-old Lisa Desmond left the parking lot of the Eagles fraternal club parking lot and into the path of a minivan driven by 45-year-old Jeffrey Nason. The minivan struck Desmond's vehicle in the front driver's side and pushed it into a snow bank.
Nason and his 16-year-old son were injured.
Desmond and her two passengers were also hospitalized.
Everyone is expected to survive.
Desmond was charged with operating under the influence.
