TOPSHAM, Maine (AP) - Police say a pregnant woman has died in a head-on crash in Topsham that may have been caused by driver fatigue.
The victim was identified by police as 37-year-old Salima Nuh of Auburn.
Police say the preliminary investigation shows that a pickup truck driven by 52-year-old Robert Robitaille of Lisbon crossed the center line on Route 196 at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday and collided with the pregnant Nuh's vehicle.
Robitaille suffered minor injuries and was treated at Parkview Hospital in Brunswick.
Police say it appears Robitaille fell asleep and drifted into the opposite lane. The accident remains under investigation.
