CONCORD, NH (NEWS CENTER) -- Investigators released new information in the case of missing New Hampshire teenager Abigail Hernandez, including contact between her and her mother.

That contact came in the form of a letter that Zenya Hernandez received from her daughter last month. Investigators say the letter her mother received last month has been verified as being sent by Abigail. That letter was dated October 22, postmarked the following day, but not received by her mother until November 6. Investigators would not discuss the contents of the letter or say where it was sent from.
"We have had that letter in custody since the 6th of November. The reason we are announcing today that we have it is because law enforcement had to take every possible step to verify its authenticity and at this juncture we believe that it was in fact written by Abby and was sent to her mother", said Deputy Attorney General Jane Young.
Investigators also released pictures of items that Abby may have had on her. A necklace that she could frequently be seen wearing and a white pocketbook that they believe she had with her the day she went missing. They're asking people to be alert. If you see someone in your community you don't recognize who may have these items on them, report it to police.
