PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - Maine state troopers have tracked down a Portland woman they say left the scene after forcing another vehicle off Interstate 295 and sending four people to the hospital.

Police say a vehicle driven by Julie Caton, 44, was passing on the right in the southbound lanes in Cumberland just after 4 p.m. Wednesday when she struck a car driven by Casey Larcombe, 35, of Brewer.

Police say the impact forced Larcombe's car into the median, where it rolled onto its side. Larcombe, an adult passenger, and children ages 8 and 12 were hospitalized with minor injuries.

A witness took down a license plate number that was used to track Caton to her home. She's charged with misdemeanor leaving the scene of an accident and failing to report an accident.
