Second burglary in two days, fifth in week in Fryeburg

FRYEBURG, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Fryeburg Police say yet another burglary occurred early Sunday morning.

Sgt. Josh Potvin tells NEWS CENTER the latest burglary happened early Sunday morning at 12 Baker Circle in Fryeburg. The homeowners were not home at the time. Police say officers doing extra patrols on foot discovered the home had been broken into.

Burglars also broke into a home on Sanborn Road early Saturday morning. A resident was home at the time and interrupted the home invasion.

Residents of a home at 41 North Elkins Brook Road experienced two home invasions while they were sleeping on the 30th and 31st. In the second, their vehicle was stolen and later recovered by police off of Route 302 in Fryeburg.

The first burglary occurred at the Harvest Hills Animal Shelter on October 28th.

Fryeburg Police urge "hyper vigilance" and ask for the public's help with information that might lead to an arrest. Anyone with information should contact Fryeburg Police at 935-3323.
