SACO, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The Portland Pirates already practice in Saco.
Now they're thinking about playing there.
Mayor Mark Johnston has told NEWS CENTER that the city would be enthusiastic about helping to develop a new ice arena on Lund Road in Saco.
After failing to work out a deal with the Cumberland County Civic Center, the Pirates this season left Portland to play in Lewiston. The team is reportedly looking at several locations where it might develop a new home arena.
There's already an ice arena in that neighborhood in Saco that the team in looking at-- in fact, the Portland Junior Pirates play there.
