WINDHAM, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - The owner of Corsetti's Market in Windham has been sentenced for setting the place on fire.
Donato Corsetti was sentenced after reaching a plea bargain with prosecutors. The Cumberland Country District attorney's office say the two counts of arson he was charged with were dismissed, in return he plead no contest to the following charges: Aggravated Criminal Mischief, Reckless Conduct, and Failure to Report or Control a Danger Fire.
Corsetti was sentenced to two years in prison, with all but 6 months suspended. Last year, he set fire to an apartment building that he owned-- next to the store.
Investigators say he set the fire and staged it to like an attack to collect the insurance money.
