NORTH YARMOUTH, Maine (AP) - Maine's medical examiner says a 63-year-old man fatally shot during a confrontation at a bee farm died of multiple gunshot wounds to the torso.
Maine State Police say Leon Kelley of Georgetown was killed Sunday afternoon at Brown's Bee Farm in North Yarmouth, which is co-owned by Kelley's father-in law.
Police identified the shooter as 70-year-old Merrill Kimball of Yarmouth, who's married to the bee farm's other co-owner. No charges have been filed.
The medical examiner says the manner of Kelley's death is not being made public at the request of the attorney general's office.
State police are continuing to piece together the circumstances of the shooting.
It was unclear if Kimball has an attorney. Nobody answered at a phone listed in his name.
