PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - A 30-year-old Saco man has won this year's Maine Marathon a year after finishing second.
Rob Gomez won Sunday's race in a time of 2 hours, 24 minutes, 21 seconds.
The Portland Press Herald reports that more than 1,160 runners entered the 26.2-mile race from Portland to Yarmouth and back.
More than 2,400 people entered the half-marathon, won by 34-year-old Moninda Marube in a time of 1:08.13.
