BOSTON, Massachusetts (WHDH) A student at Boston's Emerson college is gaining international recognition for class time doodles.
Jody Steel has already been hired to illustrate a book and is receiving constant requests for original art.
"I've always been compelled to draw no matter what I'm doing. So in class it was either notebook paper or myself," said the Emerson junior.
Steel first gained attention for a drawing of the character Walter White from the television show Breaking Bad.
"It's been really overwhelming and really exciting. It's totally unexpected," she said.
Some may think Steel's class time drawings may be a problem but it has been the opposite.
"I'm still doing really well with my classes, so long as I pay attention and draw like I'm doing now, I think they've been ok for most part," she said.
"Drawing on my legs ended up being one of the best canvases I could have used," said Steel.
