CAPE ELIZABETH, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Saturday is Open Lighthouse Day in Maine.
There are 22 lighthouses up and down the coast that will be open for public tours to give visitors a chance to learn about maritime history firsthand.
The event is coordinated by the U.S. Coast Guard with help from the Maine Office of Tourism and the American Lighthouse Foundation.
Most of the participating lighthouses will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., but there are exceptions. You can find all the details about times and locations online at www.visitmaine.com.
