CAMDEN, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Camden's Windjammer Festival was in full sail this weekend celebrating historic ships and canine devotion.
Thousands of people are drawn to Maine's midcoast to tour classic ships, visit shops and galleries and enter in events and competitions.
A new tradition in recent years is a fundraiser called the Windjammer Sea Dogs Show.
Festival-goers enter their canines in competitions like an obstacle course and beauty categories, like longest and shortest tails.
"You get a chance to see what your dog can do," explains organizer Jean Freedman-White, "And its a big fund raiser."
The registration proceeds go to the PAWS animal adoption center in Rockport.
