AUGUSTA, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Barclaycard call center in Wilton will be adding 200 jobs by the end of 2014, according to COO Patrick Wright.
"I'm constantly impressed with the quality of the people that we have up there [in Franklin County]," said Wright in a press conference at the State House.
"That's why we're expanding here: great people," said Wright.
Barclaycard will be adding 100 new jobs by the end of 2013, and 100 more by the end of 2014.
The call center services credit card customers for companies such as L.L. Bean and US Airways.
"I am so happy to have them here," said Governor LePage, "but we need to learn to cut taxes, lower expenditures of government, eliminate red tape, and strengthen our name in the market place."
Gov. LePage said there needs to be more cooperation within the State House to change Maine's ranking as the worst state for business.
"I would like to see announcements like this every day," said Gov. LePage.
