BIDDEFORD, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Brian Curit's first tenure as head coach of Biddeford started with a state championship in 1994. Tigers fans are hoping history repeats itself this season.
After a six-year sabbatical from coaching, Curit is back as the head coach of Biddeford. From 1994 to 2006, he compiled a record of 91-38 with three trips to the Western Maine Class A final, including the program's fourth state title in five years in 1994.
His workload is a bit different from two decades ago. Instead of inheriting a team that's won three of the previous four Class A crowns, he takes over a team that's just 3-13 the previous two seasons, including an 0-8 campaign in 2011.
