AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - A Maine special education teacher has been charged with sexually assaulting and exploiting two boys this summer.
Court documents say 27-year-old Patrik Ian Arsenault of Norridgewock, who was recently hired as a special education teacher in Farmington and who had been one in Wayne, was arrested Wednesday.
Court records say he's accused of assaulting the 6- and 7-year-old boys from Clinton in Belgrade and trading child pornography online for a year. Maine Today Media reports that he's facing two charges of gross sexual assault and state and two state and a federal charge of sexual exploitation of a minor.
It was not immediately known if Arsenault was being represented by a lawyer. He could not be reached for comment.
