For the second day in a row temperatures climbed into the 80s across Maine and New Hampshire with high pressure controlling our weather. This high is not expected to move much over the next 36 hours so we can look forward to another nice day on Wednesday. Temperatures have been creeping up a few degrees each day since the weekend as well as the dew points and this trend should continue into Thursday. A cold front is expected to move our way on Thursday but won't get here until Thursday night. It promises to bring a round of showers and thunderstorms and depending on how quickly the front progresses the showers could last into Friday morning. Cooler and drier air will move in behind the front on Friday knocking temperatures down into the 70s. A ridge of high pressure will then take control of our weather bringing more sunshine for Saturday and Sunday.
