Route 25 reopened after serious accident

Gorham, Maine (NEWS CENTER)Route 25 in Gorham has reopened after a bad accident shut part of it down for most of Friday morning.

The road was closed between Blake Road in Standish and Dingley Spring Road in Gorham. The Cumberland County Sheriff's Department says that two cars collided after one of the vehicles crossed the center-line. That vehicle then crashed head-on into a third vehicle. The accident happened around six this morning.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office says three people were injured, one seriously. Jennifer Cote of Steep Falls was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. She was the driver of the car hit by the vehicle that crossed the center line. Passengers in 2 other vehicles were treated for non-life threatening injuries. The road has now been reopened.
