TRENTON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) --- Days after the body of a man missing since last year was found near his home in Trenton, state police have charged another area man with his murder.

60-year-old Richard Bellitieri was last seen alive in June of 2012. His body was located not far from his home on Goose Cove Road in Trenton on Sunday.

On Thursday, state police arrested 43-year-old William Morse of Trenton in connection with Bellitieri's murder. The arrest came after a manhunt for Morse earlier in the day.

Officials with the state police say they received a report that Morse was staying on Peakes Hill Road in Dedham. When they attempted to contact him, the say Morse fled. Morse was then spotted at the 'G & M Store on Route 1A in Holden around 1:30 p.m. Officers say they arrested him a short distance away on Route 1A in Ellsworth a short time later.

Morse will make his first appearance in Hancock County Superior court tomorrow at 11 a.m. on Friday. Police are asking anyone who had contact with Morse in the last year, or anyone who spoke with Bellitieri before he disappeared, to call them at (207)866-2122.
