HOUSTON, Texas (KPRC) - Police in Houston, Texas are investigating after a disabled woman was left in a van for at least five hours.
Houston police homicide investigators said a white van showed up at the Sean Ashley House at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. A sign in front of the building said it is a non-profit group that provides help for those with autism, blindness, mental challenges or multiple disabilities.
Investigators said, for some reason, the woman was left in the van. She was discovered at 2:30 p.m., about five hours later.
The woman was rushed to Memorial Hermann Southwest. Police said she was dehydrated, unconscious and not responding, but she was alive.
