High pressure off the east coast is pumping hot and humid air into northern New England and will continue to do so into next week. Temperatures should top out close to 90 on Saturday and Sunday and thanks to the high humidity scattered showers and thunderstorms will pop up in the afternoon. A cold front is expected to drop out of Canada Sunday night and stall right over us on Monday. This will enhance the chances for showers or thunderstorms and with more clouds in the sky temperatures won't be quite so high. It will still be quite muggy however. The stalled out front is expected to hang around for the first half of next week keeping the threat of showers or thunderstorms in our forecast right through Wednesday.
