ELLSWORTH, Maine (NEWS CENTER) ---Some talented school students in Ellsworth took to the stage on Thursday night. They put on a benefit concert at Ellsworth High School to help out a little boy in a big battle.

Camden Bryant is only two and a half years old and he's in treatment for leukemia. Camden has been going to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor for chemotherapy sessions. Thursday evening students collected donations at the concert to help Camden and his family.

His mother Sheri Bryant is a teacher in the Ellsworth school system. Some of her students took part in the concert.

"It feels great to be performing for Ms. Bryant and for Camden tonight," said Lanie Reid, who had Mrs. Bryant when she was in kindergarten,  "I would do anything for them..I love the Bryants. They're a great family and Camden is a great little boy."

"He's just so strong...he's so cute," said Sanna Norwood, who sometimes babysitts for the Bryant family, "He looks like the little two year old that he is...and he acts like it...and its hard to tell that he's sick."

"He's sunshine to us," Sheri Bryant said of her son, "Every day he's happy and he's raring to go...Everyone in every community has been so loving and so supportive of us...and so when we heard about this show they were going to do...we were so thankful."

Camden's cancer means that he will have to have treatment until he's at least 5 years old. Thursday night Ellsworth students raised about $800 to help the Bryant family.
