GRAND LAKE STREAM (NEWS CENTER) - The Maine Warden Service says they have recovered the body of a boater from West Grand Lake.

According to Maine Wardens, on Wednesday, 65-year-old Vincent Bartolomeo from Old Orchard Beach was ejected from his boat after a tow-boat crash with 74-year-old Richard Albano, of Bellerica, Massachusetts.

Wardens say Richard Albano was operating his 16 foot Lund with a 40 horsepower Honda outboard and Bartolomeo was operating his 14 foot Sea Nymph open boat with an 8 horsepower motor. They say that Bartolomeo was not wearing a life jacket. Albano and his passenger sustained no serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation and The Maine Warden Service reminds everyone to wear life jackets on waterways.
