(NBC NEWS) -- Testimony continued Thursday in O.J. Simpson's bid for a new trial on his 2008 robbery conviction.

Simpson was on the stand Wednesday, claiming his attorney botched the case.

The disgraced football star claims attorney yale galanter gave him bad legal advice during the 2008 trial which led to his conviction.

In court Thursday the attorney who handled part of Simpson's earlier appeal took the stand and gave his opinion about Galanter's handling of simpson's case.

"Mr. Galanter came out on the courthouse steps...it seemed like he was laughing and joking way too much and he made a remark, 'The DA's case is a joke,' Malcom LaVergne recalled. "I didn't think that was appropriate."

Yesterday on the stand Simpson testified Galanter knew ahead of time about his plan to retrieve memorabilia Simpson thought belong to him.

Simpson claims his former attorney had conflicts of interest and also failed to advise him of a plea deal he says he would have taken.

Galanter is set to tell his side when he takes the stand on Friday.

Simpson has served nearly five years in prison. His conviction mandates a sentence of nine to 33 years behind bars.
