An area of low pressure that was located near Detroit Friday afternoon is expected to track up the Saint Lawrence Valley on Saturday. As it does so it will drag a cold front through our region Saturday evening. Showers are likely on Saturday but that is not to say that it will rain all day. I expect widespread activity early with just scattered activity most of the day. Showers and thunderstorms should become more numerous late in the day and into the evening as the cold front gets closer. The front will be east of us by Sunday morning with a second front hot on its heels. This second front looks pretty weak but may still kick off a few showers as it moves through. Otherwise Sunday is looking partly sunny. Fair but cooler weather is going to move in behind the front for Monday and Tuesday.
