(NEWS CENTER) The response to the rash of fires in Lewiston has stirred up some partisan sniping at the State House. Ray Richardson of WLOB Radio's Lobster Network and Bill Nemitz of the Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram talk politics In The Arena with Pat Callaghan.

They also discuss the prospects for a state government shutdown, Sen. Angus King's voting record, grading public schools, and rumors of a former Speaker of the House returning to impose some order.

Part 1 covers Gov. LePage's response to the Lewiston fires. Did his memories of a difficult childhood in Lewiston make him miss an opportunity to offer moral support to victims?

In Part 2, What former Speaker John Martin might have to offer to the current legislature, and the major tax reform proposal offered up by the "Gang of 11."

Part 3 covers the possibility of a state government shutdown if a budget deal is not reached.

Part 4 focuses on the public school grading system and the Democrats response to it, as well as Maine's hospital debt, and the new problem faced by hospitals because of the declining number of patients.
