A weak ridge of high pressure brought us a very nice start to the work week with sunshine and above normal temperatures. The high is going to move out to sea tonight with an area of low pressure hot on its heels. Look for increasing cloudiness this evening with showers breaking out early Tuesday morning. I expect the showers to move off to the east Tuesday afternoon and we may see a few breaks in the clouds as well. A stalled out frontal system will then be the main player in our weather. The front most likely will set up south of Connecticut with high pressure sitting to our north. This should result in considerable cloudiness for our region Wednesday and Thursday along with the chance for a shower or possibly some drizzle. Another area of low pressure will form on the front and move our way on Friday enhancing the prospect for rain. The good news is once this low goes by we stand a good chance of seeing some fair weather for the upcoming weekend.
