A cold front worked its way through our region on Friday and with very little moisture to work with it only managed to put a few clouds in the sky. A second front is expected to move through tonight and this one promises to deliver some rather cold air for the start of the weekend on strong northwest winds. Saturday's weather will feature plenty of sunshine but despite this I expect temperatures to run about 7-13 degrees below normal. Northwest winds could gust to near 35 mph before dying down in the afternoon. An approaching storm system will bring increasing clouds to our sky Saturday night and these should stick around into Sunday. Gusty southerly winds will allow for warmer temperatures Sunday and there could be a few showers around late in the day as a cold front moves our way. Behind the front a nice day is taking shape for Monday. After that things become quite questionable as the upper air wind pattern undergoes a major change. The computer models are in total disagreement on how to handle this transition so we will just have to wait and see how things evolve over the weekend.
