BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A woman accused of stabbing a Bangor man to death in her apartment has pleaded no contest to murder charges.
Gail Judd now stands convicted of murdering Michael Drouin.
But as part of a plea deal, she is not going to prison, instead she will be committed to Riverview Psychiatric Center in Augusta for an indefinite amount of time.
According to her attorney a psychiatric evaluation determined that Judd was suffering from delirium due to toxins that had built up in her body due to liver disease.
Drouin was found on the kitchen floor of Judd's Court Street apartment in February 2012. He died from a single stab wound to the chest.
