The weekend looks fair but cold

A weak area of low pressure is going to track from southern Quebec into the Gulf of Maine tonight. A few snow showers are possible with this system but the very dry air currently in place should keep these to a minimum. Another shot of cold air will arrive behind the system setting the stage for some fair but unseasonably cold weather over the weekend.  A weak system is going to pass by to our south on Saturday and probably will put some high cloudiness in the sky especially in southern New Hampshire and the southwest corner of Maine. As it moves off the coast it will pull down more cold air as arctic high pressure builds in and dominates our weather into Monday. The high will give way to an approaching storm system Monday night with snow breaking out after midnight. Snow will then continue into Tuesday and possibly mix with or change to rain across southern and coastal areas. For what its worth Tuesday will be the last official day of winter.
