A weak disturbance kicked off a few snow showers Thursday afternoon and as it moved off the Maine coast the wind picked up from the northwest. Those winds are going to transport another wave of cold air into our region tonight sending temperatures into the teens just about everywhere for the first time this month. Friday should feature a bit more sunshine than what we saw Thursday but temperatures are going to only reach the 30s at best. Another weak disturbance may kick off a few snow showers in the mountains late in the day as it approaches us from Canada. The disturbance will be well east of us by Saturday morning with another wave of cold air in its wake. This promises to keep our temperatures below normal over the weekend with both days featuring a mix of sunshine and clouds. Yet another wave of cold air is expected for Monday.
