High pressure that provided us with a beautiful weekend will now slide to the east for the start of the work week. A cold front slowly approachs from the west and will bring us rain Tuesday into early Wednesday. Ahead of this cold front a southwesterly flow helps to keep temperatures mild through Wednesday. Cooler air returns for the end of the week.
Tonight - Cloudy skies, light winds, and lows mostly in the 30s.
Monday - Cloudy start to the day, but we should get at least some breaks in the clouds by midday. Wind direction shifts from the south during the afternoon. High temperature 43-50 degrees.
Extended Forecast - Rain showers move in Tuesday, but the heavy and steady rain holds off until Tuesday evening. The rain clears out early Wednesday morning and clouds will clear from west to east during the day. Cooler air moves back into northern New England late in the week. High temperatures on Friday will not make it out of the 30s. Next weekend looks cool but quiet.
