FARMINGTON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Around 8:30 Wednesday morning, Nicholas Joy, the 17-year-old skier who was rescued from Sugarloaf Mountain, left Franklin Memorial Hospital from the back entrance.
Joy was kept overnight at the hospital to be monitored as a precaution. He didn't suffer any injuries. Hospital spokesperson Jill Gray said she spoke with Joy this morning who looked exhausted, but fine otherwise. Joseph Paul, a snowmobiler from Massachusetts, found Joy Tuesday morning after following footprints that ended near Caribou Pond Road. There, Paul found Joy walking around.
Yesterday, Joy's mother, Donna Joy, said she was thankful for all search parties involved and that her son is safe.
