Police investigate hit-and-run accident in Lebanon

LEBANON, Maine  (NEWS CENTER) -- State police is investigating a hit-and-run accident in Lebanon that left a woman seriously injured Friday afternoon. 

The Lebanon Rescue Department said it responded with Maine State Police to Flat Rock Bridge Road near the Flat Rock Bridge Family Camping Resort around 3:20 p.m. for the report of a woman who had been struck by a car twice.

Rescue officials said the vehicle left the scene after hitting the woman.  The victim hasn't been identified but is listed as in her 20s and from Rochester, N.H.  She was taken to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.  

The Lebanon Rescue Department said state police is continuing the investigation.
