KENNEBUNK, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Two men were taken to the hospital Saturday after a flaming tractor trailer truck crash in Kennebunk.

State Police say that Don Johnson, from East Corinth, was heading North on the turnpike and pulling into the rest station when he had a diabetic seizure.

His truck then slammed into another truck, being driving by Myles Whynot from New Brunswick.

The fuel tanks in Johnson's truck exploded on impact.
Bystanders rushed in to pull him from the wreckage.
Both Johnson and Whynot were taken to Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford to be treated for cuts and bruises.

Johnson also received treatment for his medical condition.

The rest area remained open while crews knocked down the flames and cleaned up the mess.
