ALFRED, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - The trial of one of the co-defendants in a high profile prostitution case is set to begin at 2PM Wednesday afternoon.
Mark Strong is facing 13 counts of promotion of prostitution. Prosecutors say he helped find clients for Alexis Wright. Law enforcement officials say Wright ran a prostitution ring out of her zumba studio in Kennebunk.
Strong's trial had been mired in legal wranglings, but after an appeal was decided by the state's highest court, a jury was quickly seated and Justice Nancy Mills now says that opening statements can begin at 2:00 PM.
