After cleaning up from this weekends record setting snowfall chances are the last thing you wanted was another coating of snow on your driveway. Like it or not we did receive another 2-4 inches of snow today and it was a wet snow that made driving quite treacherous. Warmer air changed the snow over to sleet and rain late in the day and by 6 PM most of the precipitation had moved out of our region. There is still another round of mixed precipitation headed our way for later tonight thanks to a frontal system that should be off the Maine coast by Tuesday morning. Behind the front I expect the wind to pick up out of the west and this should dry us out enough to allow for partial sunshine with temperatures getting close to 40 degrees. High pressure will then take control of our weather supplying us with fair weather for both Wednesday and Thursday. A weak disturbance may kick off a few showers on Friday and that day is looking pretty mild. There could be something brewing for the weekend but right now the details are quite sketchy.
